Leaves

I did leaves today. Well, I did 50% of the leaves and my arms have quit working. The boys had a good time though.

Paul getting a medal

He always says he deserves a medal. Though I'm sure this isn't for what he normally is claiming he deserves one for.

Alek

I'm asking everyone who sees this to watch the short documentary film at this site. This has been our life with Alek. I can't ever seem to make people understand what things are like. Like that song Killing Me Softly this documentary is telling our story and our life. It shook me so bad I couldn't believe it. While things have improved greatly in the last year, miraculously even, we still deal with a lot of the issues. I so want people to understand when they see children acting out somewhere that it isn't always about bad behavior. Sometimes it's about a family just trying to make it through the challenges of every day life. Raising any child is difficult but sometimes it is so far beyond difficult that the weight is almost too much to bear. And knowing that I've at least tried to educated the people close to me is something to feel good about. I'd screen this for every person I know if I could. So that's my request, just take the time to watch it.

PJ

PJ watches a show called the Extreme show which does the top 10 creatures of the animal kingdom for different categories like Speed, Gluttons, etc. This week the new show was "Freeloaders." PJ asked me what a freeloader is so I told him, "It's someone who doesn't work or hunt for their own food, doesn't have a job, is kind of lazy and lets someone else do everything to take care of them while they do nothing."

His next question?

"Mom, am I a freeloader?"

Paul

Just a recent picture of Paul. He looks like he's doing fine, though even more grumpy than usual.
